All materials furnished
Class limit: 6
Cost: $40 Members of SDBA/$50 Non-Members
Starting with a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper, you will fold and slit the sheet to make six sections that will be sewn together to form a book block. Al will teach you a fast and efficient way to sew sections (signatures) together, a skill that is good for binders to know. For the cover you’ll take a sheet of Al's decorated cover stock and attach it to the book block. No glue, no mess. The result is a 3 1/8 x 5-inch book that will easily fit into your shirt pocket or purse.
Al Rodríguez, a San Diego native, is a retired school teacher who taught graphic arts and photography in the San Diego City Schools for 38 years. His work has appeared in many member exhibitions and also in several private collections including those of the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, La Jolla, and the University of Washington.
