October 16th, 2020 Annual Business Meeting via Zoom

The Board has decided to host our 2020 Annual Business Meeting via a Zoom Webinar. (Please note, this is only the meeting typically held on the Friday night of the seminar, and is not intended to serve as a virtual Standards.)

The webinar will take place on Oct 16, 2020 05:15 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada).

If you are new to Zoom, you may find their instructions for Joining and Participating in a Webinar helpful (be sure to click on the appropriate link under “Webinar Controls” at the bottom for the details on participation). Zoom should install itself automatically when you join the meeting, but you may also download it here. Please feel free to contact me if I can help you figure things out ahead of time.

The minutes of the October 25, 2019 Annual Meeting will be on the agenda for approval. You can read those minutes here

Also on the agenda will be the approval of the Board of Directors’ Annual Report for FY 2019-2020. The Annual Report is available online here.

Each year, the Guild presents two awards: the Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes service within the field, and the Laura Young Award, which recognizes service to the Guild. Traditionally, both recipients are given complimentary registration to Standards and are honored at the Saturday evening banquet. Both awards will be presented virtually this year, with the 2020 recipients, Jerilyn Glenn Davis and Daniel Kelm, honored at the Annual Business Meeting. We also plan to invite them to the 2021 Standards Seminar so that we can honor them in person. To read the award announcements published in the Newsletter, click here.

Please contact me with any questions, and I look forward to seeing you there!
