Creech/Parke-Harrison, Listening to the Earth, 2003

This was an edition of seventy-five books in a threepiece full paper case binding. I had the cover papers made by Dieu Donné to reflect the atmospheric quality of Robert Parke-Harrison’s images and blended two different stamping foils for the titling. The endsections are threepiece construction with a sewn interior linen hinge. Those papers were made by Twinrocker. 53.5 x 42.5 x 4 centimeters. Created 2003.

Sarah Creighton was born in 1948, and began bookbinding in 1979, studying bookbinding with David Bourbeau, Arno Werner, Gray Parrot, and Hugo Peller. She established her own studio in 1982, where she focuses on limited editions of private press books, one-of-a-kind fine bindings, boxmaking, and some rebinding and conservation work.
