Van Dyke brown prints and letterpressed text on Roma. Spine is Clansman leather, and boards are covered in buck skin. Endsheets and pastedowns are Lokta. The text, imagery, and form describe the sensual experience of reading a physical book. Each sense is inundated as the book is held and the pages are turned. 25 x 17 x 3 centimeters. Created 2006.

Marnie Powers-Torrey holds an MFA in photography and is the Studio Manager at the Book Arts Program at the J. Willard Marriott Library, University of Utah. Marnie teaches letterpress printing, photopolymer plate printing, alternative printing techniques, and other book arts for the program. She has taught classes in photography and etching for the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Utah. She prints limited edition books for the Red Butte Press. Marnie is co-chair of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers. Her work is housed in private and public collections in the United States.
