Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, in 1942, Jerilyn Glenn Davis has an A.B. in English from Belmont Abbey College. During her childhood and from 1965–1983, during the summers following her graduation in 1964, she worked in her family’s printing business. She was an assistant to Laura S. Young from 1965 until Mrs. Young’s retirement in 1983, when she took over operation of the New York City studio, continuing to teach and accept commissions. Since 1998, she has been employed as a conservator at the Frick Art Reference Library in New York. Her work has been exhibited widely in group exhibitions with the Guild and elsewhere. She is a long-time member of the Guild and has served as Vice-President and Membership Chairman (1969–1977), on the Standards Committee (1978–1988), and the Publications Committee (1977–86, 1977–1981 as Chair).
