Stillwater, ME

Stoney Psalms
12 x 8 inches
1999

The book is sewn onto vellum tapes that are woven through a limp vellum binding of dyed goatskin. A square vellum cross is woven through the front cover. The book is illustrated with gouache lettering and painting on MacGregor and Vinzani muslin paper.

"Stoney Psalms contains poetry and rock illustrations by the artist describing a journey to Iona, Scotland, site of Saint Columba's early monastery. Each of the four poems dissolve and reform, migrating with the changing stone patterns."
