The University of Iowa Libraries is offering two advanced conservation workshops that will be supported by the Andrew W Mellon Foundation. The first workshop "Atlas Structures" will run Feb 27 - Mar 2, the application deadline Jan 31, 1996. The second workshop "Historical Book Models" will run Jun 25 - 29, the application deadline Apr 30. Both workshops will be taught by Pamela Spitzmueller. Stipend $500. "Marks of the Makers" a summer book arts study tour through Germany, Holland & Switzerland offered by the University of Alabama. The program will be based at the Fachhochschule Augsburg.
