The Western Chapter of the Society of Bookbinders has extended an invitation to members of the Guild of Book Workers to participate in a week-long tour of binderies and collections in England. The exact dates have not yet been determined, but early May 1997 seems likely. In 1989 a group of SOB's (yes, that's right!) were hosted by the New England Chapter, who, in turn visited England in 1990. Last year another group was hosted by the Potomac, Delaware Valley and New York Chapters. This recent invitation is to reciprocate for that most enjoyable visit. In conjunction with our trip we have been invited to exhibit work from our membership at the American Museum in Bath.
