Robbin Ami Silverberg will be in South Africa in February and March to teach a book arts and paper program at the Johannesburg Technikon. She will also give workshops at the Durban Technikon and the Capetown University. In March she will have a small artist book exhibition at the NSA Gallery in Durban. She will also have a solo show in April in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.

January 6, 1997 marks the 10th anniversary of the start of Karen Crisalli's venture, The Bookbinder's Warehouse. After several years with Andrews/Nelson/Whitehead handling their sales of bookbinding leather, Karen decided it was time to get out of the rat-race and have a quiet life at home. But nine months later, she was ready to go again. Andrews/Nelson/Whitehead wanted to drop leathers, so Karen bought their stock, and, as they say, "The rest is history".
