Mutatis Mutandis, The Necessary Changes Having Been Made, a collaborative work by Scripps College professor Kitty Maryatt and students from Scripps, Pitzer and Pomona Colleges, who wrote the theme of change with a subtext about dreaming vs. reality. A Limited Edition Portfolio Collection: the Handmade Papers of Douglass Morse Howell, seventeen selected examples of Howell handmade papers, laid and wove, plain and decorated, dating from 1946 through the early 1980's, including an example of Mr. Howell's handpress printed letterhead, are housed in four gold stamped folders of Richard de Bas paper. The folding portfolio case, elegantly designed and executed by Gray Parrot, measuring approx. 17" x 22" by 2I" deep, is bound in Belgian linen with gold lettered title on spine. The text includes letterpress printed title page, essay by Laurence Barker, description of the paper specimens and colophon page. Limited to 20 copies.
