Elections

Ballots for the 1997-1998 Guild elections will be mailed out during the summer. Election results will be announced at the time of the Annual General Meeting in October at the 17th Standards of Excellence in Hand Bookbinding Seminar being held in Ann Arbor October 24-25. Officers and Chairmen to be elected this year, and the candidates for office are as follows:

• Vice-President/Membership: Bernadette Callery
• Vice-President-at-Large: Margaret H. Johnson
• Secretary: Louise Kuflik
• Treasurer: Mary C. Schlosser
• Journal: Jean Stephenson
• Supply: Susan Martin

If you wish to nominate a candidate for any position, please send to the Secretary, the President, or Chairman of the Nominating Committee Elaine Schlefer (4 East 89th St., New York, NY 10128), the name of your choice, accompanied by:

1. a biographical sketch of your nominee;
2. a statement of willingness to serve if elected; and
3. the signature endorsements of five other members in good standing who support your recommendation.
