Harcourt Bindery, Bookbinders.

Harcourt Bindery is growing again and currently seeks to add two binders to our staff. One position is in cloth and leather forwarding; the other in box-making, including basic repair. Successful applicants will have good hand skills and some experience, though we would be willing to provide extra training. Salary will be based on experience, and Harcourt offers a full range of supplemental benefits.

Dieu Donné Papermill, Papermaking Residencies.

Dieu Donné Papermill seeks applications from visual artists for its Workspace Program which offers seven-day residencies in the papermaking studio to three New York State emerging artists per year. There is no application fee.


Cranberry Mills Handmade Paper, Apprentices.

Applications are being taken for a maximum of two persons per session to apprentice for a one- or two-week session during October 1997, in the fundamentals of repulping, beating and "hands-on" Western Style hand papermaking, including floral inclusions. First come, first served!
