Luminary is printed by the sun. The images were designed in Photoshop, printed onto film and exposed on Rives BFK by the sun using Jacquard Solarfast. The narrative asks questions about the relationships between the earth and various locations in the universe. Our human desire to understand how the universe was formed is the only way we can understand our location within the cosmos. Where do the stars begin? How large is the earth in the Moon's sky? How do we shine to other eyes? These questions can only really be answered by the few who have left our planet.
Sun prints, foil stamping, drum leaf binding. 7 x 10 x 1 inches. 18 x 5.5 x 2.5 centimeters. Created 2015.
