CATHERINE BURKHARD is a professional calligrapher and bookbinder with more than 20 years of experience, focusing on book restoration and conservation. Interested in making books since childhood, her serious study in bookbinding was with Dorothy Westapher in Dallas. She teaches and works privately from her own Books 'n Letters studio. Currently, she is GBW Secretary, and Editor of the Lone Star Chapter newsletter.
