by Louis H. Sullivan

1997

"I frequently choose books on architecture and related subjects for design bindings. Results can be realistic or abstract, have dimensional depth, and provide visual and tactile stimuli. I may use new and old materials, from wood to plastics, respond or emphasize the books structure when appropriate - sometimes in an experimental or unconventional manner - and offer the reader/viewer an opportunity for exploration and delight."
