Icarus, Leonardo Da Vinci, and the Wright Brothers: three juxtaposed texts on flight from myth to theory to reality. Painted Rives BFK text with collage elements of dyed tissue and Hahnemühle Ingres paper. Binding of gray leather spine and collaged color photocopies on boards. Acrylic painted edges.

ERIC ALSTROM has been involved in the book arts since 1989, as a book artist, binder, conservator, and instructor. He apprenticed under James Craven in Ann Arbor MI, and has been conservator at Ohio University, and now at Dartmouth College. His work has been exhibited in both national and international shows. Currently, he is GBW Publicity Chair.
