Gray goatskin leather over laced on boards. Red and black leather onlays, and blind and silver foil tooling create a grid in cyberspace. Edges colored black , red silk headbands and black Bugra endsheets. Text investigates the impact of computer technology on humankind's attempt to escape cultural and physical limitations.

SCOTT KELLAR operates a private studio in Chicago for hand bookbinding and conservation. He studied binding with master binder Joseph Suffant in 1974 at Monastery Hill Bindery and furthered his training at the Newberry Library Conservation Bindery from 1977 to 1981. He was Head of Conservation at Northwestern University Library from 1986 to 1993. He teaches privately and a graduate course at Columbia College Chicago Center for the Book & Paper Arts. *
