BARBARA LAZARUS METZ, MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is a book artist (since 1973), teacher, curator, and co-founder and director of Artists' Book Works from its inception in 1982, until it became the Columbia College Chicago Center for Book & Paper Arts in 1994. She has taught at the Art Institute of Chicago, Loyola University, Columbia College and various centers throughout the country. She was Exhibition Chair for GBW from 1996 - 2000 producing the exhibits, "Abecedarium" and "The Best of the Best." |
