Air Mail, now dubbed the snail mail, keeps company with the ghost pilots who once flew cargoes of letters. Blue goatskin leather over laced on boards. Gold tooled, leather onlay mixed with cut-foil stamping and painted acrylic decoration. Text of collage imagery on pastepapers and Kensol stamped narrative.

PRISCILLA A. SPITLER studied printmaking at the California College of Arts & Crafts (BFA 1975); bookbinding with Alfred Brazier and John Mitchell at the London College of Printing (1980-81); and she attended a master class in design binding with James Brockman at The University of Texas at Austin (1987). She was edition binder at BookLab, Inc., before establishing her own Hands On Bookbinding studio in 1995. Currently, she is GBW Exhibition Chair.
