Prototype binding for an book, written by the artist, to be published by the Turtle Island Press in 2004. The tale of how a wanderer came to stop wandering. Dark blue goatskin leather, bound in the German style (as learned from Frank Mowery), and blind stamped with the first and last lines from the story.

DANIEL TUCKER, MA Printing Technology, Rochester Institute of Technology, has been making books for over 30 years. In 1975, he and partner, Claire Owen, founded the Turtle Island Press to produce original artists' books. He taught graphic design and production at Temple University, PA. During that time, he studied bookbinding with Fritz and Trudy Eberhardt. In 1989, he founded the Ah Haa School for the Arts, Telluride CO; and in 1993, with Tini and Einen Miura, he founded the American Academy of Bookbinding, also in Telluride.
