Jeff Nilan received his MFA from Indiana University. His work has been shown throughout the United States and is housed in multiple artists' book collections. Growing up in Nebraska, Nilan's art draws influence from his roots and upbringing, as well as the landscape and culture of the Midwest. He is interested in the ways that art reflects and shapes the mythology of a region. Jeff currently resides in Delaware, Ohio and is Associate Professor of Photography at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Limina

Limina infuses together color etchings by printmaker Bill Hosterman and black pigment photographs by Jeff Nilan. Etchings of swirling vascular lines are layered with images of solitary figures, each poised at their own internal threshold. This slender casebound book is comprised of 16 pages and printed on various Japanese papers.
