Keri Hulme, The Silences Between (Moeraki Conversations)
This book was inspired by the combination of the strong sense of place at the Moeraki beaches on the Pacific coast of New Zealand's South Island and the great variety of rock formations in that small geographic location. Some of the formations are basalt extrusions, limestone, and uniquely, the largest round concretions in the world.
Handmade papers.10 x 9.5 x 1.25 inches. 26 x 24.5 x 3.5 centimeters. Created in 2016.
