Jill Krase is a bookbinder in private practice in Winona, Minnesota, where she also teaches binding workshops for kids and adults. She studied binding with Larry Yerkes, Pricilla Spitler, Jana Pullman, and Anna Embree at the University of Iowa Center for the Book. She has an MA in English from Illinois State University.
This book depicts the bluffs and lake that I see from the south-facing windows of my house each day. It is the horizon that is the backdrop for everything that I do, day-to-day. Since I love where I live and hope to spend the rest of my days here, I think of this scene as both my literal and figurative horizon.
