Richard Troncone Los Angeles, California
Abandoned
Single sheet case-bound book housed in a wooden box. Covered in French linen with wood veneer onlay and foiled titles. The digital photographs are
laser printed on Arches watercolor paper. A visit to the Salton Sea was the inspiration for this book. The deterioration of buildings through which people
had hoped to build a community marks time in this photo essay. 13.25 x 9 x 1.25 inches, 33.5 x 23 x 3 centimeters. Created 2009.
Rich Troncone is a full-time corporate lackey working for The Man. In order to maintain his sanity, he has been attending bookbinding workshops for a number
of years and has recently been studying with Charlene Matthews in Los Angeles. To complete this book after being laid off from his nine to five job, he had
to slip into work after hours to clandestinely complete the printing. Website at www.richtroncone.com
