Trilogy
The three-volume set, Trilogy, uses gouache, casein, and pencil with etching press transfers. This edition of three was digitally published in 2008 with
archival materials with Robert Reiter of The Lightroom at Berkeley, California. Bookbinder Carolyn Chadwick in West Hurley, New York made the removable jackets
and cases in grey cloth. Blue History describes walking the 900-year-old pilgrimage path to Santiago de Compestela.
Ochre Scriptory celebrates changes in writing,
reading, and communication from pen technology to the cell phone. Green Hand pictures observatories and lapidaries as tools for self-orientation in time and space.

Ellen Wiener is a painter and printmaker whose primary subject matter revolves around books and the expansive qualities of reading. Faculty appointments
include positions at Princeton University, the University of New Mexico, Queens College CUNY, Louisiana State University, and Dartmouth College. Her
intimate page-size paintings and illuminated alphabet made for a contemporary Book of Hours have been exhibited widely at galleries, universities, and
libraries. Her current series of panoramic books encompass scales ranging from three inches to mural volumes extending to thirty feet. Website at
