Overgrown
Overgrown is a visual story depicting a forested land that over time becomes a village and then reverts back to the forest. The case is a modified
simplified binding in full leather with a yellow onlay. The interior pages are watercolor on paper, painted by the binder and bound in a drum-leaf construction.
5.75 x 4 x 0.5 inches, 14.5 x 10 x 1.5 centimeters. Created 2008.
Stephanie Wolff is an artist, hand bookbinder, and conservation technician. Her work has been in exhibitions including the Guild of Book Workers triennial
exhibition In Flight, and Inspired Design: The Mentoring Stamp, the Guild of Book Workers New England
Chapter’s 2008 set book exhibition. In addition to creating her own work, she teaches in the Dartmouth College Library's Book Arts Workshop.
